I am about to treat myself to a new bridle, I am looking at the Sabre Cordoba as I have one already and love it but wondering if there is anything else out there that is similar? I want a padded headpiece and mexican grackle noseband... I do have a spare one but my boy needs a cob size as although he is a 16.3hh TB he has a delicate head! My alternative to buying a whole new bridle is to buy cob cheek pieces and a cob noseband which would save me about £40?
So suggestions please!! xx

I have a sabre cordoba and its the best bridle I have ever owned. Very very soft padding and really beautiful bridle.
However, I got cob size and the nose band was actually too small for my 15hh welsh x. Barely could get it on the first hole. He could have got away with having a full size one except cheek pieces probably would have been too long.

Have seen kate negus, albion etc and personally I think sabre is the best value for money.
I also own a elevator which is very similar to the sabre but imo the padding is much harder and the leather goes duller quicker and it stretches to double the size. Got a cob size for my delicate headed tb and it is pretty much full size now lol!

I got my cordoba direct from Sabre and they made me a complete bridle of all different sized parts for the same price as normal. Agree re value for money, I've had mine several years and after daily use and inadequate care it still looks perfect.

I also have an IR bridle made by Stroud Saddlery which is also fab and the padding in that is prolite so really soft. But the Cordoba was much cheaper ;)

it was really easy as the measurements are all on their website so I just measured up the composite bridle I was using as a stopgap, spoke to their customer services lady and they sent it out the next day. I had special reins made up by them too, brilliant company :)
