I've had both a Jeffries and Sabre bridle over time, although neither of those two 'models', both are very lovely, but I think Sabre probably gets my vote!

I personally would go for jeffries any day. Personally I think they are more superior in terms of quality and if well looked after will last a lifetime!

For example I have had sabre tendon boots in the past which ended up tired very quickly! My mum has given me her jeffries leather knee boots which she bought when I was about 6 (Im now 26!) and these are still great!

I have both too and agree with Hedwards, that they are both good but Sabre is probably, between the two slightly better.
I've a couple of sabre bridles that have had heavy use over the last ten years and the leather is beautifully soft and supple.

I have 3 Jeffries and they are really really nice. (I have the traditional ones with the flesh coloured underside). I did have a sabre once and I didnt like it as much.

I get M2M bridles now but if I was buying off the peg I would always go Jeffries.

I have had a Jefferies hunter snaffle with the flesh underside and cream stitching and that was very nice, but have sold it on Ebay since.

Now have a Sabre Eton in havana, and it took a while to break in, but after a 2 hour soak in a neatsfoot oil bath it's suppled up lovely.

To choose between the two, I like my Sabre Eton, I prefer the shade of brown. The Jefferies havana was too dark. But that is just personal perference.

You can't go wrong with either - as someone said, pick whichever you prefer.

Mine are currently in Jeffries. My first pony's sabre bridle lasted over 20 years.

I have 3 sabre bridles, brushing boots, martingales, breast plates, stirrup leathers, the lot, and cannot fault a single item! I love my sabre and wouldn't buy anything else these days!

Never had a Jeffries so cannot comment, but it would be a clear win for sabre for me :)

Sabre for me, but I've not had experience of a Jefferies one, but I do like Sabres my old boy's wore really well and the leather was great to clean and supple, would highly recommend.

Jeffries all the time! I either buy Barnsby or Jeffries as I feel their workmanship and leather are superior to anything else out there. I have that Wembley bridle (just bought it on Friday, sed it for the first time on Sunday for dressage) as I needed a new showing bridle for my TB and it's the best fitting bridle I've ever had.

i have both. i got a sabre bridle for my mare, and my sister got a jeffries one.

both are great quality, and are still on perfect condition.

i have now stolen my sisters jeffries bridle for my horse (hers is retired), as she needs a full size browband but a cob sized bridle, and i couldnt get a full sized black braided browband from sabre for love nor money!!

i am keeping it for when Willow is being broken, and hope that it will be of use to her

in my experience both are brilliant bridles, so chose the one you like best! ;)

xx

My sabre bridle has been used heavily for well over 15 years & still looks great, however have other jeffries stuff that i'm more than happy with, I'd pick the one you prefer the look of.
