Hey,

anybody out there have any experience with buying horses with sacroids? I've found an amazing horse but she has a small 1 just by her ear. I'm just a bit worried about it spreading and getting bigger.

any info is very much appreciated :)

I bought a horse with a couple of tiny ones in his groin area and was advised by vet shouldn't be a problem.
As I intended to keep him forever it didn't seem to matter.
However things didn't work out and I ended up wanting to sell 18 months later. By this time he had developed a few more. I found it extremely difficult to sell him despite the fact he was a laud back stunning black WB

I ended up selling him for much less than half what I paid

So would never ever buy another with them

Not too mention any vetting would mean no cover on your insurance

Hi, I have never bought 1 with but have had 2 now that got them just my luck, I lost 1 horse to sarcoidosis as they was the most aggressive type, there are many kinds off sacroid as to how to treat every horse is different, I had my removed on that horse and they came back more, we then tried the Liverpool cream which seem to work to but not enough. This young horse now I have tried a few natural ways and 1 seem to work called sarc x powder that goes in the feed from forest pharmacy there is a good video on there web site, 1 one has dropped off and hopping the other is soon going to but it is in a bad place on his eye so I am keeping going at the moment, wish that somebody could find out what brings them on they say stress & flys but am not sure, I will see if u buy 1 with sarcoidosis it's not cheep to keep on with.
