Hi All,

Vet came out yesterday - poor CLoudy very sore on right hindquarters and diagnosed Sacroiliac ligamnt trauma, and left hind leg has lameness possibly due to compensation of opposite side, tail also to right side.

Just wondering ifa nyone else had this and how long their horse took to recover - veta said he cannot say as depends how he responds to treatment - going for physio initially. Fair enough.

Just wondered as would like an idea.

Feel bad as Ive had issues on left rein and was prob due to this and I've been asking him to work through it! How bad a mum do I know feel.......... TBH he is such a trier and not in his nature to be difficult that I should have realised something up sooner rather than thinking he was being bad.

Hi, to cut a long story short we have acquired my old 148cm jumping pony back after selling her 8 years ago, she 15 now. We were offered her back because she got cast and sustained this same injury as your horse and shes a very moody mare so previous owners knew we'd understand her. The young girl was a keen showjumper and they didnt think she would make a full recovery to be jumping big again which is fair enough but also such a shame as all she needed was time.
The mare is now in foal and due next june and we've had her back 3 months now and she's completely sound again. she has been turned out 24/7 with a friend and left to exercise herself.
Things like this just need time, rest and patience.
There was a post on her a while ago about it with a good response may be an idea to search for it :)
Our mare didnt have any physio apart from a couple of times with the previous owner.
Horses respond differently to injuries so it all depends on the horse sometimes i think.
Hope he makes a full recovery.
