Sacroillialc? suspensory? help very unusual lameness!!

So pony seems to be fixed or better at leasr. Rode him on sand for the frist time since this happened and there were no probs. I think after his injury he just lost his confidance on grass as he's better on the grass now too though noe quiet as good as the sand. So guess hwatever it was sorted itself out. Hopefully it wont come back!

Well just to update. Been back in proper work for a few weeks now and all seems well. Still having to ride in the field but hes much better cn canter on both reins even tried some canter poles which he can do no problem. Im thinking it was probably some sort of blockage/spasm that eventully worked itself out physically but just took him longer to catch up mentally..... least thats how it seemed when he was better on sand than on the grass but has come round on the grass now too, think he associated the grass with being uncomfortable and took him longer to realise he was ok on it. Will just have to keep an eye out to see if any muscle atrophy develops now hes back in work. Though the saddler did mention she thought he coulld have been compensating for tightness in the shoulder as his saddle was slipping forward, have a new saddle now so that shouldnt happen again.
