No they dont Guido16- All horse have it in them to bolt when scared especially when in company and both horses go. Does not mean HE IS A BOLTER
AmyMay- Your out of order.. I have the time and the experience for him. He doesnt tank off anymore. I can hack him anywhere and everywhere, lead horse or behind and hes good. Forward and strong but thats him,he's still well behaved. Maybe I should never have said he was a 'bolter' but thats how the women sold him to me but I disagree.. If he was a bolter he wouldnt have been able to be ridden by a disabled man which he was when he was first ridden. They sold him as they felt he was wasted and should compete so sold him to a lady who left him in a field to ride once a month. This wasnt ever going to suit him as hes a very high energy horse who loves work and he's been out competing. This was the problem. He'd learnt to tank off with her and that she's get scared. He doesnt do that now, I'd never have contempalted putting someone else on him for a hack if he was dangerous.... This last bolt was out of the ordinary and not a reason to have him pts for gods sake... I care for these ponies and they always end up better than before... I work hard on them and I am experienced.
I just feel maybe its time to stop taking on projects and get a horse for me...

A couple of days ago my horse and my friends bolted
Yes Guido16-But any horse can bolt, Ive known a few horses in riding schools who have bolted. But they are not bolters and are stil used in the riding school and still safe. A horse is a horse, unpredictable! If they're scared they will run, its their instinct
LaurenBay-I can promise you this was a bolt. I can now tell the difference between this and what he's done before... So he has bolted this once... Probably because the other horse spooked and ran into him and they went...

OMG can nobody understand what I've said... I bought him labelled as a bolter. He wasnt and my YM/instructor would never have let me buy him if he was.. He's tanked off a few times which I thought was him bolting as she said he bolted. My bad. This time was a real bolt and now I can see the other times werent. Just because he bolted this once does not make him a bolter and unsaleable
Not meaning to sound like a cow but if you can't lay your hands on £500 in the next couple of months you do habd to consider what you'd do in an emergency and that's never a good thing to worry about - it sounds like you have overstretched yourself ability wise, financially and time wise
As usual H&H people are quick to jump on you and shoot you down.
I have to say, I feel slightly concerned for this horse, and the new one...

As usual H&H people are quick to jump on you and shoot you down. Bertie and Joe were free, Crepelo I bought for £200. I can not be bothered to go over it again. If you lot think this then fine, its your opinion. I know he's 100x better now than he ever was. If I sell I will disclose everything hes done as I only want him to go to a good home
