This afternoon I had to have my lovely GSD sadly put to sleep. It was quite unexpected and very upsetting, he was such a lovely dog and it has left a big empty space already..

His name was Jesper. I shouldn't feel so sad as he had a lovely happy life full of love,lots of walks and treats but i miss him so much already!

Thank you all. I dont regret the decision at all and it was very obvious that he needed to be PTS, he was 11 and had a good life. Just miss his little face and wish I could give him one last cuddle.

I am so sorry you have lost your lovely dog. When we had our BT pts in 2017 I spent an evening looking through pics, drinking far too much wine and eating a mountain of chocolate, my OH was just very quiet and sad, we all have our ways of grieving as they are part of our family and we feel their loss keenly but are very glad to have had them in our lives. Sending hugs!

Thanks for your kind words. He was a lovely looking dog and always happy and vibrant. He had a super life.

I wish they lived a lot longer! But I'm grateful for the time I had with him and I'm proud to have been his friend.
