Sad day - it's Kissing Spines

Thanks to all those who have posted - this is the update on my KS horse.

Bone scan done - outcome is they think the main/real issue is the KS. Spavins low level and unlikely to be the issue, most likely they're secondary/inactive.

Treatment is steriods, rehab exercise programme and feeding her up (with a muscle supplement). Been advised that we need to try a round of steroids first before surgery but surgery is a possibility if we don't see enough improvement. He does know about the ligament and keyhole surgery so they are possible but will see how it goes.

They remain upbeat that this could work, but she will be monitored closely for the next few weeks and months. So, here goes....wish me luck :)

At least you know now for certain. So now to rehab and just take each day at a time and will fly by! Come join us on the Facebook group lots of support on there - lots of ppl at different stages too.

Steroids can help but usually only temporary - if you have the insurance get the op!
