Sad day yesterday. RIP Hector

Thanks for your thoughts everyone. He obviously had many admirers.
I had to fill his stable immediately as Floss was left on her own on one side of the yard and wasn't happy. Willough has had a room upgrade. Not often a 14.2 gets a 15x20 stable! Trouble is she borrowed the stable to foal 2 years ag and now she is worried that she will have another baby.

There is a very big empty space in my heart tonight.

I think the hardest thing is that he wasn't old, only 14. However I'm sure he had all sorts of things going on that we shall never know about. A very talanted but so sensitive horse. He had the ability to wind himself into a frenzy over nothing and had the lowest pain tolerance of any horse I have ever met.
He was also so kind and generous, really helped Abbi learn to enjoy dressage and get a feel for higher level moves.

Unfortunately he just broke. We were there as the colic started. Realised it seemed a bit more than his normal gassieness and called the vet straight away. He is pain free now.
