tragic news today....

the three people killed in portugal whilst trying to save their children from drowning were good friends of my mum; she works in the school their children attend, and is blown away by the news, as are many people in the town. what a tragic story; two children orphaned, another two left without a mother.

ive also just found out that my riding companion only has a year to live, having been diagnosed with brain cancer just four months ago. she's in her early forties, with a five year old son

and my aunt's 7 year old german shepherd is suffering from some unknown brain injury and today took a turn for the worst; we're taking her up to Herts for a scan this week, but the prognosis is bleak.

Sorry to hear this. I know so many people with serious health issues at the mo it's untrue. I guess we should all make the most of being healthy. Sending positive vibes your way

crikey. it's been an awful day. the lovely young girl of 17 who does my hair at the hairdressers was killed driving this morning. she only passed her test yesterday. she was the sweetest, nicest, happiest, bubbliest kid you could imagine. christ, there really is no justice at all in the world.

that really is tragic.....its weird, i know these things happen every day; you're always hearing of people driving into trees, off the road etc...but its not till it becomes close to home that it hits you. and wen it all happens at once, jeez, it takes some getting ur head round.

hugs from me too. it seems to be spreading fast this horrible stuff - one of my best mates went for a scan on thursday and was diagnosed with cancer and (he is 28) had to have an op on saturday. a friends mum was diagnosed with cancer the same day. oh and so many smaller but horrible things have happened since. its shite. life is shite and we all take too much for granted. i was ill for 9 years and had lots of operations over the course of 2 years and now appreciate everything, oh apart from my boring job that stops me being with my baby all day (but pays for him). i cant believe the portugal thing, tragic.
