Today was my last day riding my absolutely lovely share horse! Although I am currently on the hunt for one of my own, its still a bit sad.

She has been such an angel at giving my my confidence back after a not so lovely share that chucked me off twice in 3 months. With her I have managed to confidently jump 2'9, improved my flatwork massively and just generally started really enjoying to ride again.
I'm glad I will be getting my own horse soon but I will miss my old share heaps :(

Sorry, bit of a pointless post but just feeling a little sorry for myself after leaving the yard for the last time!
 
You're right, she'd been brilliant and I will always remember that.

Its going to be difficult to find something to buy that will live up to her though!
 
I know what you mean. I have a shoe from (and loads of pictures of) my old share. Maybe ask the owner for a memento that will suit you?

Or, just heartlessly move on and get totally absorbed in horse-shopping ;-)
 
I know how you feel, I stopped sharing 6 weeks ago in order to get my own. I am very lucky though to be on the same yard as her, so I see her every day and have ridden her too.
