Hi Folks

feeling a little tearful right now as when I went up to get my horses in this evening I found my friends horse dead in the field. As I have been through this process myself on many occasions over the years and earlier this year with one of mine ( Not with sudden death though) I was able to help her with the practical side of things like dealing with the vets, insurance company and removal etc and was able to stay strong for her. My daughter took her pony over to see the dead horse as they were pals and it was very moving to see his reaction. very dignified. He just kept licking him.

Anyway back home now and feeling sad. Horses can bring us such joy but also much heartache and one more who has just left a big gap in an owners life. R.I.P Captain xx

How sad, so sudden. Its must have been a really big shock for everyone.

She is lucky to have such a good friend to help her get through this tough time.
