I had to say farewell to my dutch warmblood Rocky this morning after a short illness we decided the kindest option was to let him go while there was some dignity left. Good night my baby xx

How awful for you, you have my sympathy. Knowing you have done the right thing never makes it any less painful.
For what it's worth I'm thinking of you and sending hugs.

"Somewhere, somewhere . . . in time's own space, there must be some sweet, pastured place
Where creeks sing on -- and tall trees grow, some paradise where horses go.
For by the love that guides my pen, I know great horses live again. "

RIP Rocky. You did the kindest and bravest thing you could for him - a decision I too had to make 6 weeks ago for my mare. So sorry, remember the good times.

Thank you everyone, it wasn't an easy decision but I think it was the right time. I have some lovely memories which I will cherish
