Hi Everyone,

Looking for some advice as to recommended brands of saddle for a flat backed, wide, ID x Connie. I currently have a Kent and Masters Flat Backed GP but I feel very perched and my leg feels too far forward and I keep getting a lot of hip pain in my right hip and I feel as though I am slipping to the left (this could be me and not the saddle though).

I bought the saddle from the previous owner (a few months after I bought my horse ) as my saddler had recommended this saddle for my horse and it was what my horse previously had. Ive felt its not right for me for a while and I don't feel very comfortable in it and today I let a friend ride my horse and she also commented on it not being comfortable, a perched feeling and hip pain.

I think I need to look at another saddle for us both and this may mean I need a new saddle fitter as I don't think my current one stocks many saddles (im in Berkshire) within my budget. Happy to spend a decent amount but would need to finance this if its out of budget.

Any advice appreciated. Thank you. :)

I found the same with K&M saddles. My fitter got an ideal made for me, was so much better. You need someone who understands tree shape to get the best fit for you both.

Chunky Monkey. I believe Sam's planning on being around Gloucester way in early Feb, so she may be able to swing over to see you.

I'd have like to try an AH, but I was never able to get hold of my area's fitter.
