I'm trying to find a new saddle for my child's new pony. I have seen one but it says it has flexible points, whats does that mean and are they any good or not, it is leather if that makes any difference.

I'm sorry if i seem such a numpty :) but i would prefer to ask than just go and buy it and find it's no good.

I think the flexible points means that the shape/width/tree of the saddle adjusts as the pony's shape changes with the seasons, but I don't have any experience of them.
Is your child learning to ride or quite young? My instructors always said that the best way to develop a secure seat was to ride in a "proper" saddle and do balance exercises rather than develop an armchair seat, which I did, but maybe these modern saddles do help. I personally prefer leather, and your child will learn and practice tack cleaning from the off rather than develop "lazy" (time saving :)) synthetic cleaning habits! Good luck.
