Hi all,

just got my new horse who is a connie cross ISH and about 15.3hh but slightly croup high. I wont to get him a saddle that I can adjust as he is going to grow and change shape. Someone mentioned kent saddlers do one that is quite reasonable priced? I would prefer to get a leather saddle for him. Any ideas? I will be getting a saddler but would be good if I could have a look around before she comes. Thanks x

I have a rising 5 connie x tb and have a bates saddle for him, which I love but I really struggle to find someone that will fit it. Most people tell me to remove the cair and flock, which isn't what I want to do

The bates lady is quite far away so changes 25 extra for travel

I then had someone turn up, use a wintec measuring guide and changed the gullet. And charged 60 quid. Which o could have done myself.

I have heard Kent and master are nice but I've not looked into them

Kent and masters saddles are adjustable, pretty good quality for the price and seem to hold their value if selling.

A friend has one that is comfy to ride in too. I think they are about £800 new?

I have a brand new 17.5" Kent and Masters S Series Anatomic GP in Black for sale. It's a fantastic saddle but just too long for my short backed boy. Paid £895 and not even been sat on - open to sensible offers. Based on Essex/Suffolk borders but will post at cost.

Just for info:
Thorowgood and Kent and masters are from the same company and roughly same fit.
Wintec and bates are also same company and similar fit.
Of one for the other won't (k&m/thgd are on a curvier tree)
