Saddle advice?

I am thinking of moving on from a Wintec to a leather saddle and would really like a GP with the lumpy bumpy textured leather. Can anyone recommend a make for me to look out for, second hand and also so Im a bit more clued up when the saddle guy comes on thursday? It's for a short backed chunky dales pony.

I have an Ideal saddle in Buffalo leather, I love it, I thought most saddlers sold second hand saddles, as long as they fit?

So it is Buffalo leather I need to ask for then, it didn't mention it on that Barnsby one?

barrie swain saddles sometimes have buffalo leather too

It's called Grained leather whether it is buffalo or not. Be sure you want to keep it, grained leather doesn't fetch as much second hand as flat leather.

Grained leather sounds a bit more knowlegable than lumpy bumpy!! Am surprised about 2nd hand value though as it looks posher, maybe not so hard wearing then?
