Hi, I've got a 16hh TB who needs a new 17" narrow fit changeable gullet saddle. I'm no expert in tack and I'm not sure if there any brand/type that's best to use or anything like that. :(
I'd really, really appreciate any help/advice anyone could offer. Thanks a lot. :)

Thorowgood do good changeable gullet saddles especially for either normal, high withers or low withers. But try calling a local saddler to see what they have :)

Narrow fitting saddles are really very narrow, I would be looking possibly to a wider saddle with a shim pad, but you would need hands on advice for that. Too narrow a tree to gain clearance over the wither can cause major issues. And if you really don't know anything about saddle fit then you shoudl work with a fitter to get the right saddle, your horse might not even suit any of the changeable headplate saddles.

The various saddles with changeable gullets sound ideal. The companies tell you that their saddles can be adjusted to fit any horse. "One saddle fits all". In reality just changing the gullet is not the only measurement that matters when making a saddle fit. Some horses are great & a simple gullet change is the answer to get a good fit, but for many it is not. For many the adjustable saddle will never fit them. I had a horse years ago that a Bates saddle with a medium/narrow gullet fitted really well. After several horses since then I've not found another horse the saddle fitted & I sold the saddle.

I get my saddler to adjust my adjustable - yes I can do it myself but if needed he'll also change the flock and shape the gullet to fit my horses. It's a godsend and it's fitted my horse for the last 3 and 1/2 years throughout his growing/changing shape and also fitted the wondercob when needed

My friend is trying to sell her narrow T4 for her 16hh ex racer as she sold him - it's changeable gullet and was used for a whole of 2 months from new and has since sat in the tack room... I can forward you her details if you'd be interested - I don't know a lot about it so you'd ned to speak to her really!
