I'm trying to sell 3 of my old horses saddles. I had them on ebay last week, but no interest. Today I put them onto saddleseekers.com and I have already had an offer of the full asking price for the most expensive one, and the person also offered to pay an extra £100 for me to take it off the site as sold (they needn't have done this, but I thought, wow, great!)
I excitedly forwarded the email to my other half just now, who says its a scam, and I haven't sold my saddle. I'm now confused. How do i find out if this person is for real, or if they're trying to scam me? I haven't yet sent them my address. If they are for real I don't want to offend them.
Oh no, what shall i do?
This is copied and pasted from his email to me, what do you think?:
" I will need you to provide me with your Name,Address and Phone # so i can forward it to my client to issue you a Certified Cheque / Banker's draft that will include the cost of the saddle, shipping and insurance out to you and when you get the payment, i will give you further instructions on what to do regarding the shipping of the saddle .
Once you have the payment, the shippers will contact you to make arrangement for the pick up of the saddle at your location and move them along with my personal luggage's to my new apartment. I am also offering you an extra £100 to take off the advert from the internet and consider it "SOLD" to me in order to avoid mis-understanding with other customers. "
