Saddle care!

So yes, I very luckily was gifted a beautiful, hardly used Ideal Jessica Dressage Saddle which I am absolutely besotted with already *Happy Dance* So I am obviously going to want to keep it in tip-top condition, am planning to clean it weekly in between wiping I down after every use. So I am after your tack cleaning regimes and favourite products! Also, I'd love to replace my worn stirrup leathers with some nice ones, any recommendations for someone with short legs?

What a lovely present!, sadly I can't help you with your question but I have a Jessica saddle and it's so comfy. Don't think I could ride without it now.

Passier stirrups are nice I use them on my ideal. Effax leather cleaner is great for the saddles

Sounds gorgeous, are these expensive? I need a new pair for my saddle. So sorry OP you can hate me for hijacking. You have started a really good thread though because now I think about it I need more stirrups. No need to swap them day after day then.

I got my son some of those thin dressage style stirrup leathers, they are much easier for him to alter, and less bulky. And naff leather balsam keeps all my tack soft and nourished. Horsemans one step is also very good.
