What would this sweat pattern suggest to you?

This is my second new saddle in the last few months as the first one didn't work out. It's a Kent & Masters GPD but this is the first time he's really sweated so I can see the pressure pattern. It looks to me like there's too much pressure at the back of the saddle and it's bridging but I can't see that when it's on?

What do you think?

sorry not much help as not a qualified saddle fitter but my saddle fitter always says if the sweat patches are not equal then there is an 'imbalance'/ problem when working in it... she always looks at the flocking...what is the flocking like (when fitted was there any extra flocking placed in it to build it up, therefore he may not need it now as changed shape?)
what is your horses back muscles like? both equal or is he more developed on 1 side

Hi thanks for your post! I actually think he's pretty even at the moment although has lost some condition over the winter where I've not been riding as much. He does tend to quite quickly go hollow behind the withers.

No, saddle fitter didn't put in any flocking when he fitted the saddle but perhaps he needs to put some in or take some out now it's settled maybe?

Have you shown this picture to your saddler for his comments? I would also discuss it with your back person in case there is some imbalance.

It may just be a case of uneven stuffing in the saddle.

Hi there, yes my saddler is coming tomorrow, I was really just interested to get some points of view to add to my own, so I'm ready for when he comes.
