Saddle Company Discomfort - anyone else?

Recently bought boyo a Saddle Company saddle and am finding it chafes and makes me very sore. Discreetly mentioned it to my sharer and she is having the same problem! I had a problem with soreness issues about five years ago when I had a TB and thought it was me being a poor, out-of-practise rider but thinking back, he also had a SC saddle. In in the meantime our other cob has a different manufacturer's saddle and my boy's previous tatty one wasn't an SC one but I didn't ever suffer the chafing I get now.

Just wondered if anyone else has the same problem with SC saddles? I've tried different kinds of underwear, seat savers and even a pair of padded cycle shorts... all to no avail. Have a Heather Moffett SS to try next as my last hope, if not I will have to seriously consider selling the saddle, the discomfort is spoiling my enjoyment. So disappointed

I've had 3 and always found them very comfy, sorry! Hope you get it sorted!

Nope.....find them very comfy saddles.
Perhaps you just need to get some memory foam put in the seat?

I've not ridden in SC saddles much but didn't find them particularly comfy. Hope the seat saver saves you.

I gave ridden in a couple and found them very uncomfortable. Didn't like at all.

I had a Verona GP and it was horrendous, worst saddle I have ever sat in, was brand new as well. I was so off balance in it too, probably from alterin my position subconciously to get away from the discomfort. The difference in my horse when we got rid was really obvious immediately.

I bought a working hunter saddle from them. Fitted to the horse and brand new. It made me squeal riding in it for longer than ten minutes. The tree also twisted within a month. To be fair they came out and swapped it for another type, but that twisted on the tree too. In the end asked for my money back. Bought a Jeffries saddle and no more squealing.

They can be a bit firm but its well worth adding the memory foam when you buy one (bottom heaven) the seat saver should do it

I have an SC saddle, found it a little sore to start with (although I was just coming back into riding after 6 months so could also be that) but after the first week I've really settled in it and love it, v comfy and really lets me sit in. Mine's is the Event version.

I have just got the cob version and put a heather moffett seat saver on today and the two go together really well security and comfort love it!
