I have a saddle company fitter coming to fit a saddle for Alee tomorrow.

I'm just a bit worried about not being able to ride in it as she is not actually backed yet. Will this dramatically change the fit of the saddle?

Also she has quite upright shoulders so have been advised not to go for something too forward cut so have been considering buying to working hunter saddle as it seems to be half way between a GP and dressage. I plan to do mainly dressage and some show jumping with her eventually do you think that this would be a good option?

Finally having never ridden in a sadle company saddle I'm a bit worried also that i'll buy it and not like it when I do eventaully get to sit on her. Do they sell well second hand if this is the case?

I think that this saddle is my best choice for a saddle that will grow with her so fingers crossed they can get one to fit her!!

I've got a saddle company saddle and when it fitted my last horse it as really nice, but now Ive moved and I cant get anyone to come out and alter the fit for less than £60 so that it will fit my new horse. I suppose its cheaper than buying a new saddle each time they change shape though! Ive never tried to sell it but i imagine they do sell quite well, as they can be adjusted to fit the horse.

i bought one blind off ebay last week - its fantastic! incredibly comfortable, my horse seems freer and happier in it and having had a lesson in it on sunday my position is loads better - best ebay bargain i have had!

The resale value seems to be good as I have been looking for one for months and only managed to get this on for within my small budget as the seller didnt seem to realise what she had and let it go for not a lot... have noticed black ones seem to sell for more...

Thanks for posting this was wondering the same too.

Chancer is backed, but only to sit and walk and do a tiny trot round the school and I was thinking of a WH saddle as I hope to start to show him next year under the saddle.

I wanted the SC saddle so I would not have to go through numerous saddles and he fills out - at the moment I go through rugs every six months
