Saddle company saddle- now what?

I have a brand new SC saddle, girth and stirrup leathers only weeks old that I no longer need.
My fitter initially said she would exchange the saddle but has now said she won't be doing any exchanges until next spring!

I'm inclined to buy a second hand one and get her to fit it then advertise mine seperatly seeing as she can't help me but I feel a little put out by the fact she won't exchange it like she said she would.

Are there any other types of interchangeable saddles (not wintecs or Throwogood as I'm not a massive fan of them) that are recommended or should I go back to good old leather and just change/exchange it every few months as horse grows and changes shape.

Opinions please would be fab.

No longer need? May I ask why? Ultimately if saddler won't exchange and you have nothing written down then that is that - and unfortunately eBay etc never really gets the full value.

As far as other interchangeables, the Kent and Masters are supposed to be good. Other than them, SC, Tgood or Wintec there aren't a massive amount of quality changeable gullets!!
 
There are quite a few Saddle Company Fitters - could she not recommend someone else that may be interested as saddle is only a few weeks old you may not of lost too much on it - may be you could do a deal with a local tack shop
 
My horse has been retired hence the small usage. Bit of a shock but that's life I guess :-(

My local tack shops won't buy it off me, only let me leave it there for sale and my local saddler isn't interested in anything that's not leather.

I don't know whether to just go back to leather or not after this.
 
I would put it on saddles direct, they are good but if you get them to sell it on your behalf you maybe in for a wait for your money for a few months-until it sells

Or you can advise on there as a private ad,
 
Presumably you have another horse? hence needing an exchange. Can the saddle not be adjusted to fit the other horse? obviously if seat too long etc that is a no-go.
 
No; 15hh is normally 17" (17.5" if has a long back).

18" saddles are much harder to sell - they rarely fit anything except a big horse (16.2hh and above) with fairly tall riders otherwise you just end up swimming about in the saddle.
 
Saddles direct only offered me £100 for a thorowgood that had only been used for 3 weeks (a saddler could have sold it as new it was in such good condition!), or £150 if they sold it on my behalf. I left it on preloved (updated advert every 2 weeks) and then had a very happy buyer who paid £250 and postage. I know yours will be worth more than that, but sometimes leaving them on preloved until the right person is searching works well.
I'm going to be looking for a barefoot treeless next
