I have the genoa dressage version - used for flatwork and hackinig and teeny jumps (sometimes) and the genoa event used for everything. Got them myself (am a fitter for the Saddle Company!)
Hi, we have one of their working hunter saddles in our shop, part suede, part leather-very smart.
I am very fortunate that a fitter for the saddle company works for us.
I have 2, a Verona GP for my mare and a Verona event for my gelding, both saddles came from Ebay and were then adjusted after they arrived with me. The GP was 2nd hand and cost £250, the event was new and cost £375 - both saddles are fitted to ever changing and growing Exracers who have big shoulders but high narrow withers, only saddles I could get to fit them, Thorowgood and Wintec just couldnt be adjusted to fit....
I have a 16.5 inch wide fit dressage which I'm selling because
a) it doesn't fit the pony, never has and can't be made to despite multiple return trips by saddler
and
b) I loathe it anyway - tho' that may be to do with the fact that it rides up her neck any time we break out of a trot. But it seems to me that even now when they've moved the stirrup bars back, they're still not in the right place - and the seat's very flat for a dressage saddle and the thigh rolls not very big.
I have a Verona Cob half leather, personally its the best saddle ive owned, its very comfortable and can be adjusted as an extra bonus. I use it for everything from hacking, showing, SJ, and XC.
I bought one a year ago. On the plus side its the most comfy saddle I have ever sat on, it fits my horse like a glove and its a reasonable price. On the negative the flaps have worn already where the girth joins underneath (I understand this is quite a common problem with them). Am not sure I would buy one again for this reason
I have the Verona GP and I don't particularly like it either. Only plus points are the price (£500 new) and the fact it can be adjusted which I thought would be good for my 5 year old. Not particularly happy with the fit so I'm looking to change it, have a WOW fitter coming out next week to try one of those. I hate the position it puts me in, I struggle to keep a decent leg position in it.
I have the verona wh and i love it, i sit in a much better position than the wintec i had before. I use norman hyett he is a saddle company fitter(a very good one) and he is also a bowen therapist he travels anywhere.
