I was just needing some advice about getting a saddle cover for the kids pony, the sheep skins I mean, the ones you ride on.

As my children have been complaining about the saddle being hard but as I've ridden their pony myself I know it's not, but I don't want them complaining any more.

But basically I've talked to a few friends about getting one but some of them have said that they(or their children) have slipped off because of the saddle cover.
So really, is it worth getting one or not??

I have an old one of those memory foam seat savers. I cannot ride with those fleecy covers .at.all. They feel to me like they slip about and I dont feel secure with them. Always have to take them off if I ride in a saddle with one on.
 
I've used a gel one few times, and was really comfy and didn't move. However they take a long time to dry out if they get wet!
