i have to store my saddle in a locked box. Not ideal, so have been looking for a good quality saddly cover. The one I have is from Derby House and is a bit pants. Any suggestions? Some on equestrian clearance look nice but £20!

Are you looking at saddle bags rather than just covers as these usually offer more protection? ...

Have you thought about a waterproof ride-on one?? Coz you could then use it for storage as it would keep dust off nicely AND you could ride in the rain with it and keep your saddle nice & dry:)

I say this coz I got kitted up in these, and when its tiddling down with rain, they're absolutely indespensible; especially as I've got a suede saddle seat which I'm a bit precious over.

You'd save a bit of money too if you doubled them up for wet weather riding AND storage.

Just a thought.

Locked box like a trunk? I might just line the bit of the box where the saddle sits with a thick fleece blanket.
