Saddle Dilemma

When I first bought my mare, she had a ratty old GP saddle, which I still own. She also has a Stubben Monoflap jumping saddle and a Passier GT dressage saddle both of which I bought.

3 years down the line, I can honestly say that dressage isn't my bag, I prefer jumping, but being logical I know I'm never going to go BSJA or anything.

I quite like going cross country and hacking, schooling and lessons and of course jumping. I think I would like to do some WH at local level too.

To be totally honest I don't have the confidence or stress tolerance to deal with anything but low level stuff.

As a result I was thinking of selling or trading in both of my "good" saddles for just one VSJ or GP saddle that I could do everything in.

I'm due for the saddle fitter, so any advice anybody has would be welcome. Have you been in this situation?

have you got someone coming out who has a really good selection, and who will accept multiple trade-ins? because if so, i think you should get 1 really nice saddle, prob a GP, whatever fits your horse and feels most comfy and suits your build etc best. beware a saddler with a small selection, i've fallen into this pitfall before and you can end up stuck with something which cost £££s and really isn't perfect for you.

Well that's the other thing of course, there's not a lot of choice around here.

The normal person I would get only has a lot of secondhand choice.

The other is a bit of a pain as I would have to take neddy to him, but he has much better choice of new.
