Saddle fit advice please

Yes, they were my second choice! I went with the Berney Bros because it was advertised as 'lightweight' (it isn't really). Im worried now that i'll just end up with the same problem!

Have emailed the local saddle fitter to see if she can get the Black Country saddles and how much they are.

The one im borrowing at the moment is La Polera! They're argentine i believe though (and therefore have foam panels), and im keen to get a wool flocked one.

A girl at my yard has one and it looks good. But i cant seem to find where to order or prices! I have just sent them an email though.
 
If you ring and speak to him he's helpful. I've had lots of trouble finding a saddle and discussed fit and confirmation of my horse with him. The one he recommended fit brilliantly.

well can't be any worse-but buying saddles blind over the internet with out trying them on and seeing them in the flesh or even having tried a saddle of same size and make is daft-you can end up much poorer with many saddles that don't fit
 
No expert but looks too narrow to me. Just wanted to agree with you on the point that most of the polo world do just throw any old saddle on- such a shame, i really don't know why that's the case :(
 
As usual I have to disagree on some points - the tree points can't quite be seen in the photos (get a shot from one side, level with the pommel, looking back, showing from pommel to at least half way down the flap, well lit from behind you so you can see the front of the saddle clearlty) but they aren't massively too narrow. Once again, being pommel high DOES NOT necessarily mean the saddle is too narrow.

The tree is too curved for that horse, which is fairly flat backed. Also the rear panels when views from behind don't sit on the horse well and are too shallow to even remotely compensate for to too-curvy tree. The tree should fit the horse without the panel having to do too much to compensate anyway.

Photos DO show a certain amount, but the saddle should be girthed firmly, the horse stood square, plus you should show the whole horse, you need to be absolutely certain of the slope of the ground and how the horse it stood to possibly be able to judge is a saddle is in balance, front to back.
