Saddle fit nightmare! Should I go treeless?? Help

After numerous saddle fit issues using different (master saddler and fitters) horse getting repeatedly sore back started bucking and broncing and developed a negative association with the saddle! One trip to A&E is enough so I am thinking about trying treeless? Any advice? I have called saddle solutions who offer a fitting service but their saddles start at £1750 which is too much at present. Does anyone know any other treeless fitters in the north east? It's all new to me so advice and experiences very welcome.

Solution Saddles do offer payment package, so you wouldn't have to pay it all in one lump (just a thought in case you were unware).

Has your horses back been checked and left for a while just to make sure that any previous problems have been totally resolved?

I wouldn't go treeles unless you really can't find a saddle to fit (or a decent fitter) because it's not as simple as you might think, finding the right treeless saddle along with making sure it fits well is also a minefield, if it's just a case of few badly fitted saddles in the past then I'd stick to trying to find one that fits him properly first, takes a while (trust me!) but there will be something out there that fits but it won't help unless your horse is fully sound in his back/pelvis etc.

If you can afford for a solution fitter to come out and fit one or even show you how they fit, plus having a go on one, then you could then look out for a second hand one, it might be worth the money just having SS person out jut so you can find out more about the saddle and if a treeless would suit your horse, if he's quite sensetive he may not like them anyway.
 
I have a Solution saddle and my horse has never been better. He is very sensitive in his back and very high withered so even when i previously had a made to measure saddle it caused me problems.....def go treeless!
 
We had all sorts of problems with our horses back. A friend lent us a Solution saddle to try, and we liked it so much we bought one ...albeit a secondhand one. They crop up on ebay from time to time and tbh we bagged a bargain....£495 for a size 5 jumper which was just what we wanted. Very good condition as well. Personally I would thoroughly recommedn them, BUT, as has alreaby been mentioned, they do still need to be fitted...its not a case of one size fits all. Having said all of that, I have heard some horror stories of cheap treeless saddles, so if you do get one make sure its a reputable make. I only have experience of Solution saddles. Our horse also seems to go along very nicely it.
 
Thanks for your replies, the biggest issue I have is I don't know he's uncomfortable until I get on (he stands like an angel for me to mount) as soon as I ask him to walk he broncs me off and I know it's time to have his saddle checked again! Prior to me having him he's had a poorly fitting saddle which left White scars, two physics and the vet say he's not in pain so the problem is partly mental. Can anyone recommend a saddle fitter in the north east? I am near Durham as I am loosing faith. as much as saddle solutions seem the best I really can't afford that price. Is it correct you buy the saddle to fit your size? If that's right could I look for one on e bay then have it fitted with the correct pads ect (completely willing to pay the £50 to have our local SS fitter out)
