High upon a hillside
I bought a saddle last week and had it fitted on my 12.3 4yo native cross, saddle fitter recommended a t4 pony saddle for his shape in extra wide. I tried it, but stupidly didn't put him on the lunge or anything. Saddke fitter said an xxw would fit him better.
Anyhow, the saddle with an xw bar seems to move forwards on the lunge as he basically has no withers and might be bum hight atm. Is it likely that if I get an xw bar and move the girth straps forward this will be rectified? It may do I think.
Main problem is this saddle is synthetic and doesn't have a d ring on the back to take a crupper, which is the next option. Seemingly the only other saddles that might fit (bates and wintec so I'm told) also have no doubt on them! So is it likely a saddler will be able to fit a D ring on the back ofor a synthetic?
