Hi,
I've got Crewe Saddlery booked to come and have a look at my new baby, he's really hairy & podgy and will change shape loads over the next year or so.
Has anyone any experience of Crewe for their fittings etc? Are they good? What's the after sales service like???

Sorry, not used them (I use Bridlepath International, they are based Cambridge way but seem to travel most of the country).

I like BI because they explain things to me clearly (I am a numpty!), they don't rip people off (they could easily have sold me a very expensive saddle that I would only have had to change in a few months time), and they are nice

. They bring lots of saddles out, both new and second-hand if you want, they're not snooty at all and take a lot of time. I can ask any question without feeling that they'll either talk over me or be sniggering up their sleeves at my lack of knowlege.

So, in short(!), I hope CS will make you feel like BI made me feel

. Let us know how it goes

all saddlers are pros so they no there job ..
yes ur rights to get the saddle fitter as ur horse needs a correctly fitted saddle.

Your right he will change Shape , but it is best advised that you do get your saddle checked every 3/4 months anyway.
i am guessing you have a saddle that has the easy change gullet system? othewise could be very expensive experience every few months :-)

hope it goes well- update here

If you have any problems with crewe I use village saddlery david is a master saddler and very good.
My equine physio recommends him.

Have not used crewe so cannot comment

I hate to be provocative here but in my experience that isnt true! Just because someones done a two day saddle fitting course and can put a few letters after their name doesnt make them an expert.
