Hi all

I am new to Winchster/Hampshire and need a saddle fitter to come out and fit dressage and jumping saddles for eventing. Ideally I would like someone with a good range of second hand saddles as buying two new is just not going to happen! Can anyone recommend any saddlers and an indication of cost. I have been recommended Jill at Meadowlea and Di at Calcutts so far... any other suggestions as to skills, range of saddles and cost gratefully received. Also, if anyone has any second hand Ideal Roella they would to part with please let me know.

I've used calcutts in the past with my loan horse. They were brilliant, although hers was a made to measure saddle by them.
 
That's interesting as I had never heard of him. Ok I will give them a call. Does anyone have any runner up or other suggestions? Being in a new area and not knowing anyone is rubbish! x
 
Calcutts have looked after me for years as just up the road and have a large stock of 2H saddles. Thoroughly recommend them.

TDS are also very highly thought of.

No experience of anyone else.
 
Have just had Brian from TDS out and would highly recommend him. Nice, and will not try to sell you anything you don't need (he actually dissuaded me from buying a more expensive dressage girth as my cheapo Wintec one is just fine!)

I've used Martin from horse e things before and he seemed good - sorted out the very weird shaped and unhappy chap I had at the time. Also used for another horse and really liked the lady who came out, she seemed to really know her stuff.
