saddle fitter yorkshire area

Lizzie from the Priory Saddlery in Saltburn/Guisborough is fantastic and will travel. She is a master saddler and extremely good. It might be worth mentioning second hand if you do call as I think a lot of her trade is based on new saddles, but am certain she does 2nd hand too.
 
I had Kim Gordon out from Kruger saddlery last week. She is really good and is a qualified Master Saddler fitter. Not sure if she sells second hand saddles though. She is on Master Saddlers website.
 
Throstle Nest definitely, had lots of saddles from them over the years. If you can get there they have second hand saddles on the premises. David Baxter wont come out to fit second hand ones, only new saddles.
 
is there still a saddler at Fox's in wetherby? they used to be pretty good, but haven't used them for ages so don't even know if they're still there.

I wasn't overly impressed with Priory, the guy was determined to sell me a saddle I didn't like and didn't think fitted me (tho it did seem to fit the horse).

I don't like sayers of yarm either, as they "Lost" a saddle of ours that they'd taken in to reflock. It turned up 5 weeks later fortunately. :/
 
Where are you based? My physio rates David Baxter. He won't come out to fit second hand saddles but you can go over there and try plenty. He gave my friend a very generous price for her scond hand saddle. Mine is a Farrington - I love it, very comfy!
 
I'm surprised to hear that about the Priory, in fact I wasn't aware there was anyone there other than Lizzie who fitted saddles there. I had a very low budget (student) when my guy was in serious need of help and far from trying to sell me something I didn't like etc she was very accommodating, suggested v reasonable priced saddle with changeable gullet, so I didn't have to pay to have it reflocked as his outline built up etc and it was fantastic.
 
search the saddle consultant - woman called heather form lancashire but travels (came to leeds for me) she is very good and not expensive. also karen moxon and sarah steel although sarah mainly does pony saddles i think.
