hey all, im looking for a good saddle fitter in yorksire wit opefully a large selection of new and second hand jumping saddles!

Wont say who I had out today but them turning up with just one saddle has really pee'd me off! I took a day off work so was expecting rather a bit more choice!!

Have you got transport? Rideaway have new and used saddles, they do saddle fitting at their store! It has a car park for horse boxes and a paddock to fit the saddles and ride in to try it! xx

Throstle Nest saddlery at Barnsley have loads of new and second hand saddles. If you go there you can be fitted up and ride in the indoor arena to check the fit etc

I use Cath Worsman shes really good and shes not just a saddle fitter shes actually a saddler, she made me a show saddle and also a bridle with breastplate and reins and put a whole new underside on my Henri De Rivel saddle and her workmanship is 2nd to none, I cant fault her at all, if you want her number PM me. She drives a big white van and its usually full with about 20 saddles x

A couple of freinds have used R&R Country from near Selby and were happy with them http://www.randrcountry.co.uk they do new and secondhand.

Another vote for throstle nest - they do quality 2nd hand saddles at very good prices. a friend of mine has just bought a Jeffries Event from them for £450. It looks about 6 months old!

Glad you guys rate David from throstlenest coz i'm taking my horse there on Monday to get a new jumping saddle, as I found my made to measure saddle did not fit my horse!!!
