Saddle fitters in Cambridge

Who is good and who do I avoid? Please and thank you.

I don't cope well with pushy sales people and usually fold to what they say so someone reasonable would be good.

Obviously skill as a fitter more important though

I live in Suffolk and would recommend Martin wilkinson. He is based in Herts but travels all over. He is top notch and really knows the job. Not at all pushy and totally reliable. Having had horses all my life and tried various saddlers in and around the area I wouldn't want to reccomend anyone but him.

Yep! She is great Can't recommend her highly enough. My gelding is a different horse (for the better ) since she came to see him.

And she is a lovely person too

I'd recomment Mill Saddlery in Stowmarket, I am sure they would travel as far as Cambridge.

Google "Frenchies" they have been based in Cambridge for years and offer a very good service. Not sure if they are still there; I've moved out of the area.

unfortunatly they no longer fit saddles however they do have a large stock of second hand if you know what you are looking for

Ali at BridlePath - they are on the net for details. She is amazing and will not let you buy a saddle unless you need one. Me and a friend wanted new saddles but she said ours were perfect fitting She is very honest and genuine and she deals in all the ranges of saddles.

Bridle path is who I used to use in Norfolk so would be tempted to do that again. Do they come out to Cambridge. That's good if they do

Yes, they come out anywhere, in fact the yard I am at is nearer to Royston so defined as Hertfordshire. I think the call out was £40 and to check the saddle was £20 - I wanted a new one but she said mine was perfect (( I do know they have such an amazing choice and she is very thorough!
