Can anyone please recommend a good saddle fitter? Still having problems, and now v confused! One fitter is convinced he is a xxw fit and will need made to measure jump saddle, another (who hasn't actually seen Ted) thinks it's v unlikely he is that wide and I may have already ruined his back by using such wide saddles...! Now v confused indeed! All help v gratefully received!

Thanks, we are in North Somerset, so plenty of them around, just to be honest don't trust them! Was told by another I must pay a £40 call-out charge and if she has a saddle she thinks fits she would expect me to buy it!! Others charge call out fee then have absolutely nothing remotely suitable...! Hmmm....

Wow, thanks for that - just seen his website, which looks v professional, and he's not absolutely miles away. May just have to save a few more pennies tho as he only seems to have new saddles. Great recommendations tho, much appreciated.

Wadswick have 2 saddlefitters, not sure if will go as far as your area. When they didn't have second hand to suit my horse, they suggested Pointings in Bath and Chris Puddy, also Bath I think.

Thanks, have spoken to Pointings and Chris Puddy, both seem to have a fair selection but are that bit further. Needs must tho!!

Julia at Garretts is very good as well. I really trust her and she does not try to sell anything. Has loads of 2nd hand saddles and new. Julia tells it as it is and has been taught by her father Bill who is brilliant. Based in Cheddar.

Thanks ever so for top tips. A friend of mine has just recommended Garretts too actually - am soooo fed up with latest fitters spouting gloom and doom...and quoting vast sums because of his 'odd-shaped' back!!
