I’ve decided that despite being 4, new horse is having a new saddle. Fed up of second hands that don’t fit.

Would appreciate some recommendations please, this isn’t my original neck of the woods.

Thank you!

Another vote for Steph at Freedom Saddlery. She fits my wonky horse with chiro vet input, plus she fits for para riders and high powered competing riders. She has an extensive stock of demo saddles, but rarely if ever sells second hand or takes trade ins.

Good ridden trial facilities possible at her base with indoor school etc.

Andy Wheals - the Saddle Man on Facebook. He's busy (but that's because he's good!) Or Mel Lewis based in Telford

Thanks very much!!

Ive booked with Steph. Wondering where the new horse expense will end but hey ho ??‍♀️?
Good luck with the fitting. Steph stocks saddles from £s (K&M) to ££££s (posh brands that I have barely heard of).

I didn’t tell Steph my budget, which was in the ££s league, but the Fairfax Classic GPD she brought out fitted like a glove, and it squeaked in at £10 under my hypothetical max budget of £1500.
