During Barney's recent stay at Amanda Suttons for physio, his saddles were checked by Kay Humphries to try to find out why he was going so badly. It's later been traced to bi-lateral spavin, but of course Kay has condemned both his lovely Ideal saddles. So I'm desperately trying to find a really good saddle fitter who can bring a range of second hand saddles (he's for sale/loan so don't want to buy a new one). Usually have Martin Andrew, who is virtually uncontactable. Tried Liz McGoun (too far) and Clare Barnett (not until end of august), so need to look elsewhere. Doesn't seem to be any in dorset, so should I try someone from Somerset, Hampshire? Kay has lent me one of hers for a few weeks, but need to give it back and it's making my hips hurt (although Barney is very comfy!). Vets been to check him today and is happy that the steroid injections in his hocks have done the trick, so need to get him back on the road. Help!
