I have rang 3 saddle fitters listed on society of master saddlers website in last week and not one of them has returned my call - business must be good?!

Rightly or wrongly it puts me off because it's not very busy like is it?

If anyone can recommend a qualified, reliable saddle fitter in Derbyshire area please could you let me know.

Thanks :)

Sorry this is no help but does seem to be common problem. Two I contacted in Scotland haven't had courtesy to get back to me. Have given up on the whole tribe.

Will watch with interest as I also want someone to look at my saddle, ideally someone who will adjust/reflock if necessary rather than just sell me a new one.

Who have you tried?

I have had Sally Cartwright recommended, and Kristina Lewis at Equestriana. I've heard mixed reports of Kick On......

Lavinia Mitchell is a top class independent remedial saddle fitter who travels around the country. I have used her several times over the years and she always returns emails or phone calls . She has a website.

Sally Cartwright is the only one who called me back. She's away at the moment but I've asked around and she's got a good reputation, she's qualified, can make small adjustments in her workshop and isn't always pushing to sell you a new saddle. Going to give Sally a call when she's back next week to try and make appointment.
