Saddle Fitting/fitter problems

Another view on this - saddle fitting isn't an exact science (I'm sure we've all known something that goes better in the saddle that absolutely doesn't fit) and I think as owners, when sonething goes wrong, we're more likely to move straight on to a new fitter rather than build a relationship and talk through issues.

Of course this isn't universal - some saddlers are just rubbish, and some are just impossible to talk to - but it's more common than not that we find a saddle doesn't fit, and go on to a new saddler instead of working through it with the old one... we need to build relationships with saddlers just as we do with farrier, vets and instructors.

Well, of course, in that case it's a crap fitter - but if there's evidence the saddler hasn't seen (talking generally here, not about the OP!) there still often seems to be a tendency to move on to a new one instead of talking to them!

I've had two saddlers that I wasn't even able to talk to - both very well respected and very scary. No.problems with the fitting, but I changed becaue I found them very hard to talk to. I dread to think what would have happened if there had been a problem.
