The Horse is I think about to be Cannonised! First time I have been able to ride for 15 days and we had a saddle fitting booked.
I hopped up for 20 mins before the fitter arrived and he was a gem just a little more forward than normal but quickly settled.
Very patient boy during the fitting (helped I think by nearness of Chocolate Digestives) and it came down to a choice of two and I went with a 4 year old Prestige Appaloosa Dressage saddle in mint condition for 695 euros which fitted like a glove. Saddler gave me 500 trade in on my saddle and has let me keep the saddle for 10 days to throughly try out before I call in and stump up the cash.
Saddler has said as long as I keep the prestige in good condition when I want to trade it in the next 12 to 18 months for a new saddle (once boyo has finished growing) then the value will not go down much at all.
All in all a happy camper I thought I was looking at over a grand to trade up and have got away with under 200 so am going to treat myself to a set of Passier leathers.
