Sorry in advance for the essay!
So I'm having a really hard time finding a saddle for my sports horse mare.
I've had her nearly 6 months and she's in my old thoroughbred's close contact wintec with a medium gullet at the moment although this has cause muscle wastage behind her withers. Her ideal saddle at the moment would be 16.5 inches, medium wide GP with drop panels although this seems to be impossible to find! I can't find a 16.5 with drop panels as they're all 'pony' size whereas the 17 inch saddles with drop panels are all for thoroughbred types with high withers and hers isn't necessarily high!
She's not showing any signs of pain or discomfort in this saddle just the hollows behind her withers make me worry, I've currently got a towel placed under her saddle to try and help fill them in at the moment.
Unfortunately I don't have the money to get her a custom made one and the saddle fitter I had out was pretty unhelpful in helping us find a saddle which is why I'm posting here!
If anyone knows of any saddle makes which typically have drop/deeper front panels? I was recommended thorowgood but again they only seem to be on the high wither saddles!
I've tried to attach some images of her to help(excuse the mud) but I don't know if they'll work!
Thanks! x

Hi, I had saddleword come out to me, they charge £60 call out and they bring a selection of second hand saddles. My sports horse has very high whithers so I needed a new one, Kent and Masters was a good fit. They had some second hand ones for about £400 and at least you know it will be a fairly decent fit. Good Luck.

Thank you so much! Just sent them an email, hope they can help! :)
