Saddle for high withered horse

What, in your opinion, is the most suitable brand of saddle for a very high withered TB? Looking for leather, not synthetic. Any advice appreciated! (and yes, I will be having a saddle fitter out for him, just curious about what people recommend )

We had a black country saddle made to measure with diamond shaped panels added in to the front to fit to his muscle wastage either side of the wither. Since then, with a properly fitting saddle, his shape is much improved. About £1200 at the moment.

Balance saddles are designed very much with developing muscle in the wither area in mind. Most high-withered horses are such because of wastage rather than it being their conformation.

My boy has HUGE withers and is ridden in a Farrington KN VSD, Very nice deep seat, straight cun panels and good wither clearance.

I second this. I bought a leather Kent and Masters high withered GP for my TBx mare and it's lovely, for both of us

Think it was £625 new.

I've just bought a Kent & Masters leather saddle for my TB who has very high withers and is quite short in the back. It fits us both and I would highly recommend it. Price £695. This saddle also has the option to change the gullet (narrow, medium, wide) if your horse changes shape.

I had an ID x TB gelding with VERY high withers and I got an Albion Kontrol GP with a high withered tree specifically for high withers. Everything I tried on him bridged, even the Thorowgood high wither which he was measured for specially.

Where abouts are you based and have you managed to get sorted? I have unfortunately lost my horse so have the saddle to sell. It's Medium width, 17.5" seat and in havannah
