Saddle - good buy? Unheard of brand?

Hi guys,

My first saddle, very comfy, was fitted to horse so good fit, can't find any info on it online.

Wondering if its a good buy, I paid £275,

Its stamped Roe Richardson Francis & Drew.

i'm using it for hacking. (its slightly heavier than a normal saddle, so not sure if its GP)

Not come accross the brand before either, but its all very high quality it seems.

It looks like a very good quality saddle. Roe Richardson Company were the designer of Reactor Panel saddles (very expensive!)

What a find, would be keeping hold of that one, the oldies are always the best!
I have a Roe Richardson that is now 12 years old fitted to my now elderly long retired endurance Arab, a fabulous Saddle that I will never sell I bought it second hand then for £950!
Good saddles that last a lifetime, they dont make them like this anymore!

Does anyone know what an average general purpose saddle weighs? Im trying to work out how much heavier this is!

Seems like a real traditional built saddle then by the sounds of things.
