Has anyone used one, are they any good? Any reasons not to use one? Thanks

I used to use one as a stay-away solution. Takes up less space and the saddle never fell off.

Mine was a home made affair though, rope and part of an old broomstick, smoothed off.

I made a similar thing to go in my car. It's a webbing strap with a piece of pipe lagging on one end (so makes a T shape, with the lagging being the bar of the T). The strap goes round the base of the headrest and in the gullet of the saddle, the pipe lagging holds it in place. It works really well and was very cheap to make. I'll see if I can find a picture.

Did you buy that or make it?
I need one for my car and despite my weird and wonderful google searches, I can!5 find what I’m looking for.
I made it. Very easy, no sewing and it works perfectly. I'll take some more pics so you can see how I did it.

It's a length of webbing looped through a D ring, so you can wrap it round the pipe lagging. More D rings and a clip at the other end, so it loops round the headrest (or you could clip it to a tie ring). I used D rings as you can adjust them and don't have to sew anything. The clip then just slides up to underneath my headrest. Much cheaper than buying one!
