I bought a lovely Derby House Samber for Holly this year but when ever I ride at shows, later on I always ache. Its the top of my legs and hips . I don't have this with any other of my saddle's. The only other time I felt like this was when I used to ride a very wide heavy weight cob for long periods of time.

Any suggestions please. Do anyone else have this with their saddle's.

I always ache more after competitions because I usually end up riding more and using more muscles than when I'm schooling or hacking at home, but if this doesn't normally happen to you maybe the saddle's a bit wider than your usual one?
Sorry I can't shed any more light on the situation.

Could be because you ride for longer than you normally would at home when you're at a show! I know I do it without even noticing!

Also, if the saddle is a bit wider of course then this could be why...you just need to get used to it a bit more.

I also find that at shows I ache more afterwards in general. I think it's the fact that the day is usually longer, and that the adrenaline keeps you going during the day, but when you get home you just crash!

By the sounds of things the saddle is wider through the twist which will make you work your inner thigh muscles more. Try putting your stirrups up a hole.
