Saddle noise!?

Hi

Just wondering if anyone can shed any light on a saddle noise?

Did some schooling early this morning then went for tootle around village, on last stretch towards home I noticed saddle has started making weird noise every stride (bit like door stiff door squeak). I looked at it when got back and can't see anything obvious but am worried it may be damaged?

It's a Albion K2 GP approx 6 yrs old and never been dropped etc to my knowledge.

Any thoughts?

Stirrup leathers? Where they sit on the bar or just rubbing against the saddle....maybe....

sounds like the rivets have gone - take it to your saddler......

Have you cleaned it recently, sounds like a daft question but i usually clean mine every fortnight but if i dont get round to it for whatever reason it starts to squeak. Once cleaned squeeking stops. Totally wierd but true. If not that then def get checked by saddler as squeaking is not normal.

Where are the rivets?? Can I see if they have gone?

Will try cleaning it tomorrow too and check leathers, if not will have to get saddler to look at it

Mine squeaks too if I havn't cleaned it for a bit! It's a good reminder for me, once it starts to squeak, time to get it clean!! Squeaky clean!!!!! Sorry, that was bad haha!!
