I am trying to some suitable foam to cut out some replacement shims for my shim pad but I am having trouble finding something suitable. Can anyone recommend something and tell me where I can buy it please?

Thanks

Don't use foam if you can avoid it - either so thin that it compresses and does little, or so thick that the edge of leaves a ridge under the saddle causing pressure and instability. Mattes shims, or a 5ml felt, are much better, trim them to make a wedge so there is no thick edge under the saddle.

Thanks for the replies. The felt is an interesting idea, what sort of felt would you use and where would you source it from?
