Saddle pads for 16.5 inch saddles

What saddle pads do you all use with 16.5 inch GP saddles?

I find full size pads look ridiculously large, but the pony ones are just too small/aimed at kids. Nothing fits!!!

Seen the new premier equine Capella half lined but just know it will be too big. Currently using a half lined black and natural S/M Lemieux, it’s so boring but does fit. Or an old style premier equine in Navy, but is a bit big

Any suggestions for non boring medium sized pads? Not looking to go full matchy matchy, but a nice smart pad that doesn’t break the bank would be nice.

I use cob size but unfortunately you don’t seem to get many that come in cob size anymore. I have Cottage craft, legacy and I think hkm ones

I use cob size. Most of mine are griffin nuumed gpm. Got a couple of nice derby house ones too

I have one S/M LeMIeux saddlepad under a 16 inch saddle. It looks ok but I actually prefer numnahs for the very reason they seem to swamp him.

Eskadro seem to fit fine, which is weird as the ears are huge! S/M Le Mieux and HKM cob all fit. Mine are all big substantial natives and cobs though. Not sure how it would work on a fine blood pony.

I have a 17" saddle and can use either S/M or M/ L in the Le Mieux so I'm sure the S/M would look nice on 16.5"

Horse Health had the S/M on sale last week in Champagne which is very smart

Thanks everyone. Looks like I am stuck with Lemieux S/M which do fit. I just really like the look of some of the Eskadron and HKM style pads, but they don’t seem to do cob. Or not that I can find, maybe I’m missing them.

Just fancied something a bit nicer for a change, but the more premium brands don’t seem to cater for us Native owners.

Mattes do! Fully custom options on every pad, cob size.

LeMieux, Mattes, Equestrian Stockholm, PS of Sweden and Eskadron all have smaller sizes. I used to use the PD/Pony Dressage from Eskadron under a 16.5 saddle.

The equestrian Stockholm look good. I can only see cob in Dressage cut. What size in GP/jump are people using. Ownedbyaconnie, yours looks great, what size is that?

CanteringCarrot, Do Eskadron pony come up quite large? A lot of pony pads tend to fit 15-16 inch

Lemieux is a good fit, but limited options in GP S/M. The super smart looking pads are all CC or dressage cut that won’t work.

Sbloom, might have to dig deep and splash out for mattes. It’s actually one of your sport pony GP’s, will cob work well for that?

Absolutely, it's part of the reason I stock them, their cotton pads aren't horrendously expensive.
